At Comfortable Pets Housecalls, we are here to support your furry family members orthopedic and neurologic recovery needs. We recognize the importance of treating your beloved animal in a home setting to keep them as comfortable as possible. We love to help senior patients, arthritis, patients recovering from surgeries such as a TPLO or hemilaminectomy, limping or sore animals, reduction of pain and suffering and improved mobility. We can provide a happier, healthier, more comfortable life for your loved ones. All in the comfort of your own home.
Meet the veterinarian
Lori Polkowski DVM, CVA, CCRT
Dr. Lori Polkowski has loved animals all of her life, especially senior pets. She has her undergraduate degree in environmental biology and zoology from Michigan State University. She graduated Veterinary School from Purdue University in 2004. She then moved to Los Angeles and completed an internship at a specialty emergency/surgical hospital. After this, she practiced at a 24 hour emergency and regular animal hospital for 10 years, and then she practiced at a rehabilitation therapy specialty practice for 6 years. She studied acupuncture at the Chi institute and received her CVA (certification in veterinary acupuncture) in 2012. She studied rehabilitation therapy at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2014 and received her CCRT (certified canine rehabilitation therapist). In her free time, she works with bees and is also a veterinarian for bees. She loves traveling, gardening, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her chickens Marcel, Mary Berry, and Prue
